Expectations
of Industry's Cooperative Offerings
In order to assure a quality cooperative work experience
program, several simple guidelines for industry have been set. These guidelines
were outlined during TCP Curriculum Team meetings on the topic. If
you have questions about these guidelines, please contact Leah
Akins, the Curriculum Coordinator.

All cooperative work experiences are to offer the

of credit hours the student has completed in the program. (see

Students
are expected take full responsibility for the job search
process. Within this gateway you will find information about
cooperative work experience offerings but you must take it upon
yourself to contact the specified person for each job, submit
resumes, and set up interviews. The Career Counseling
Offices at the individual colleges can provide advice and support
in this process, but it will still be up to you!
|
 |
Students
must understand that the cooperative nature of this program is
that local industry is cooperating with the consortium and the
community colleges to provide these opportunities, but beyond that
connection, the experience is controlled by the student and the
company they decide to work for.
