Industry Gateway

Welcome Industry Partner, to a fabulous opportunity to meet and groom future technicians.  Through this gateway, you can enter cooperative work experience job descriptions that will be viewed only by students in appropriate academic programs at the area community colleges.  Just as you entered a password protected gateway to get to this point, students will enter a similar gateway to view these opportunities.  Also, you will be able to browse information about the students who have elected to provide data about themselves through this web site.  Please follow all directions provided here before proceeding to job entry.

Cooperative Work Experience Program Requirements

In order to assure a quality cooperative work experience program, several simple guidelines have been set.  These guidelines were outlined during TCP Curriculum Team meetings on the topic.  If you have concerns about these guidelines, please contact Leah Akins, the Curriculum Coordinator.  This effort has developed from our partnership therefore positive input and involvement in TCP's efforts by all consortium members is welcomed and encouraged.

All cooperative work experiences are to offer the student a meaningful work experience in a technical field and must include an on-the-job mentor or team of mentors.

Students working as a co-op student may work full-time hours when school is not in session (winter, spring, and summer breaks).  The maximum number of hours of work per week for full-time students while school is in session is based on the number of credit hours the student has completed in the program.  (see table below)

All cooperative work experiences through this program are to be offered with the pay schedule indicated in the table below.

The job description entered on the web site MUST include all of the following:

Clear yet succinct description of job responsibilities.

Expected job start date (and end date when applicable).

Expected schedule and hours/week.
